Flashing illuminations
Flashing lights using transistors
Three transistors are now added to the controller board. This provides me with 3 channels of LED control. Two are going to be to Pulse Width Modulation outputs that may allow me to dim the LED strips. The other is just for the internal case lighting, this has no need for dimming. The LED strips run at 12V DC and pull just under 1A of current. Breaking these up into three circuits also meant not needing to use MOSFETs for switching. When a visitor gets the number wrong or right the Netduino can flash the external LED strips to coordinate with the other displays to give a "feeling" of right or wrong... (goodness knows how I'll do that!)
